Payment Plans

Dear Valued Customer

In this economy, everyone wants to save money. Our mission is to provide you with superior service, high quality heating oil, and offer you ways to save money that are proven to be effective, safe, & secure.

Last year, customers who purchased budget and pre-paid plans from us, saved up to .70/per gallon.  Those customers understood that there is a cost for the product, the expense to deliver it, and in our case, the cost of properly hedging our contracts with Angus Energy, protecting all parties in the process.

The lowest cost contract is not always the most secure. We have seen the consequences of improper hedging year after year and we are proud to use resources that protect both our customers and our business. Our affiliation with Angus Energy provides another layer of protection and trust that is vital in this industry.

Now, what will next season bring? Who knows?  Higher prices, lower prices, continued volatility, warmer weather, colder weather, perhaps all of the above?  One thing we do know is how to help you plan accordingly.  Last year, you chose not to use any of the price protection options we offer and paid a higher price for doing so.  This year, we want to make sure you know what is available to you and at what price.

This year we are offering multiple payment programs to keep our customers protected from price spikes. The senior discount (62 years or older) of .04/gallon applies to all payment options.

A PDF of the cover letter explaining our payment plans is available here.

We are offering a pre-paid, fixed price program which is currently at $3.739 for #2 fuel.  Prices are locked in upon your paid and signed contract.  You decide how many gallons you wish to purchase, call or email (awpeters@monad.net) to verify the correct current price, and a contract will be sent to you for your signature.   Credit cards may be used but that price per gallon is .10/gallon higher.  Add .10 per gallon for #3 fuel on all plans (for outside tanks) and a contract for kerosene is no longer available.

This year we are offering Two different budget plans that start in July. If you wish to get on a modified budget please call 924-3388 to discuss your current options.

The first is the CAP program.   Currently has a cap of $3.899 per gallon for #2 fuel.  You decide how many gallons you wish to protect, and we will purchase the heating oil calls and puts that you need to properly hedge your gallons.  The fee is .30 per gallon and is payable up front.   Your budget will then be  spread over 10 months from July 2010-April 2010.  A contract will be sent to you, which you must sign & return. If you want the ultimate protection from spikes and unlimited down-side protection and you want the convenience of 10 monthly payments, this is the plan for you.

The second budget option has a price collar, protecting you from price spikes, currently between $3.499 and $3.999 for #2 fuel.  You would pay the cash price within this price collarThis plan also begins in July and runs for 10 months. For a price collar budget contract, please click here

All budget options can be set up for automatic credit card payments through a secure server, saving you the trouble of writing a check.  Signatures are required for any program that involves us purchasing contracts on your behalf and all programs have significant changes so please read them carefully.

We are not advocating one plan over another.  We simply want you to be aware of the plans being offered at this time.  These prices are subject to change at any time.

We hope this helps you make an informed decision about your heating oil needs for next year.  Thanks and have a great summer!

*With the current high cost of oil, many customers can struggle with meeting the price of oil. In addition to being on a program, fuel assistance is available for those who meet certain requirements.
